The master plan envisaged is not just a collection of houses, but a complete modern smart city that provides everything residents need and want within easy reach. This community called the VoltaGreenCT will feature a free economic zone enclave, a wide variety of home buildings, home styles, and options at all price points as well as parks, playgrounds, swimming-pools, tennis courts, golf courses and many more. The VoltaGreenCT will also offer a unique feeling of safety and security as it will be gated and or patrolled by neighboring security thereby giving residents peace of mind. It will also have anti-monotony codes, ensuring that the homes are diverse and attractive. The new city is in a prime location within the Central Tongu District of the Volta Region - along the Sogakope - Ho Road, a place where the climate is warm and sunny all year round. As the country seeks innovative solutions to its housing challenges and environmental sustainability goals, it is hoped that the VoltaGreenCT smart city project will not only provide much-needed housing but will also serve as a model for green urban planning, demonstrating the feasibility of harnessing renewable energy sources for a brighter and more sustainable future.
VoltaGreenCT will be founded on an integrated economic development strategy, providing a local economy and jobs, as the driving force for the City's development. The New City will be made up of residential villages, each of which with its own unique identity. The Developers will follow broad planning principles in designing every village in the New City to ensure that the highest standards are met. To minimize travel time between work and home, commercial and employment centers will be strategically located close to the villages. Shopping centers are planned and built in three levels.
Neighborhood centers are the smallest and will be built as an integral part of each village so that they can serve the daily needs of the residents. Community centers are slightly bigger than neighborhood centers. Regional retail centers are located within commercial and employment districts.
Because of their closeness to freeways, they attract consumers from all over the Capital City Area. All of the city’s shopping centers will serve as public gathering spaces, as well as high-quality pedestrian environments.
